CCE The Netherlands acquires Arendskere solar park with 2.5 MW nominal capacity

The international photovoltaic specialist CCE is also expanding its business in the Netherlands. To this end, it recently acquired the Arendskerke solar park. The company’s goal is to expand its portfolio to over 100 MW. Further acquisitions of photovoltaic projects under construction or already in operation are also planned.

Vienna/Amsterdam, 07. November 2022 – CCE The Netherlands is a subsidiary of the CCE Group. It focuses on the development, realisation, financing and management of large-scale ground-mounted PV systems and commercial rooftop PV systems. In addition, CCE offers flexible solutions with a focus on hydrogen and energy storage.

The now acquired Arendskerke solar park, which has already been in operation since 2019 on the former clay pigeon shooting range near Goes in Zeeland, has an installed capacity of 2.484 MW, which can supply around 850 households in the Netherlands with electricity. The lease agreement with the municipality of Goes was concluded for 30 years.

Further projects in the Netherlands are to follow

Cederik Engel, Managing Director of CCE The Netherlands, is pleased with this successful acquisition and is already planning further project takeovers: “CCE is on a strong financial footing and the strategy is also geared towards growth for the Netherlands. We are therefore very actively looking for further projects that are ready for construction or already in operation for our portfolio of solar power plants,” says Cederik Engel.

A reliable partner for all

The CCE Group follows a model where the interests of all stakeholders (community, vendors, local population, agriculture, etc.) are fully aligned. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors carry a lot of weight in this respect.

“With our many years of international experience and the know-how of the entire group, we can also make an important contribution to the energy transition in the Netherlands,” concludes Cederik Engel.
